Karla Lee grew up in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney Australia. After her parents divorce she lived with her Father until the age of 17, when she moved in with her Mother in the St George District. Karla then studied at the Australian Academy of Dramatic Arts where she received a diploma in Dramatic Arts. Karla has danced all her life and she has also worked with children of domestic violence and for many years, been a Nanny to many children. After a few bad relationships and some counselling, Karla moved on with her life to pursue her vision of bringing healing to those who have suffered the same way she did. Karla met her husband Jay through her Church and they were married in 2001. They had their first little Princess "Faith" in 2005.
Since the launch of her two books in Sydney Parliament House on the 3rd of March 2003, Karla Lee and her products have appeared on: "A Current Affair", "Mornings" with Kerri-Anne, "The Today Show", 2GB, 2UE, ABC (Sydney & Brisbane), 2BL, Alice Springs Radio Station, Newspapers and Magazine articles.

This book is a book about why mom and dad don't live together anymore in a simple, clear and child focused
way and with beautiful illustration.

"Mom and Dad Break Up" From the series 'kids have feelings, too'. Written by Joan Singleton Prestine.
Fearon Teacher Aids, Division of Fearon Teacher Aids, CA 1996 $11.95
This book is about children coping with the separation of mom and dad. The book explores
how the child feels, with lovely illustration and quite in-depth.

"Divorce is a grown up problem" a book about divorce for young children and their parents.
Written by Janet Sinberg. Avon Books, N.Y. 1978
This book uses friendly illustrations to show children that it isn't his or her fault and how anger can be channeled
in a constructive fashion. It also includes a detailed preface for parents.

"Dinosaurs Divorce – A guide for changing families". By Laurene Krasny Brown and Marc Brown.
Little, Brown and Company, New York, 1986 $7.95
This book is an excellent resource as it also includes a dictionary of all the words that children will hear whose parents are
getting divorced. It explains in a child focused manner why parents divorce and having two homes and celebrating holidays,
telling friends etc., Reviewed by New York Times as one of their Notable Books of 1986.

"At Daddy's on Saturdays". By Linda Walvoord Girard. An Albert Whitman Prairie book. Illinois 1987 $6.95
This book is a realistic yet thoughtful book on a child coping with divorce. Publishers weekly stated 'excellent for parent-child
use or classroom discussion".

"Hear my Roar – A story of family violence". By Dr. Ty Hochban, Vladyana Krykorka.
Annick Press Ltd. Buffalo N.Y. $9.95
This book is about a father who becomes abusive towards the mother and child. The book looks at the impact the
violence has on the family and how the Mother seeks help and takes action towards ending the abuse. Dr. Hochban
a family Doctor from Regina, Saskatchewan wrote the book to provide a form of "preventative medicine" aimed at
breaking the cycle of violence.
