There is so much work ahead of you.....SVN is a great place to start....

If you are considering entering the field of supervised visitation, we strongly recommend a very modest investment of a membership with our network. The Supervised Visitation Network was originally founded in 1991 to provide opportunities for networking, sharing of information, and training by and for individuals engaged in this relatively new but rapidly emerging field of service.

As the field
of supervised visitation grows, there will also be increases in those who attempt to profit from this growth. By joining our network, you will join forces with individuals and organizations that have been instrumental in the original development of the concept of supervised visitation. These members can help you avoid the mistakes that many have made when entering this field. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars to get advice from experts, in fact, we suggest caution when dealing with any individual promising a financially lucrative career and/or investment in the field of supervised visitation.

Although there is no official certification for Supervised Visitation Programs and/or monitors, SVN members pledge to meet the SVN Standards, as approved by the membership. Please read these standards carefully if you are considering membership with SVN and consult with the local authorities in your community, judicial circuit, county, Province and/or State to fully understand the requirements you must legally follow to offer services.

Your membership with SVN, however, will only cost $75 for an individual or $125 for an
organization, and will provide access to support from our home office, networking opportunities with experts in the field, and educational opportunities in the form of conferences, phone trainings, members forum, members area of our website, and in the near future, SVN hosted regional trainings.

You may also have the opportunity to join a state chapter of SVN and work closely with members in your own state.

A new option for new providers is the SVN Live Wire, a consult conference call, an opportunity to engage with five proven leaders in the Supervised Visitation field. Go here for more details.

Please fill out our anonymous New Provider Survey here.

If you really want to immerse yourself in the field, attend our annual conference in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida on May 28-30 and you will
have access to a quality workshops and meet with providers from across the United States, Canada, and Australia.
