Thorough training of staff and volunteers is essential to effective and safe supervised visitation/access service.
It should include initial, periodic and on-going training, and its importance is equally applicable to both nonprofit
and for profit programs. In addition, judges, social service employees and law enforcement professionals can benefit
from training on supervised visitation issues.
The topics on which providers should recieve training are enumerated
in the
SVN Standards.
Below are trainers who have been screened by the SVN Training Committee. Each person listed is willing to provide
training on a variety of issues to your staff, volunteers and advisory committee members. Each has listed his/her area(s)
of expertise and the geographic areas in which they are willing to share their knowledge.
If you are interested in obtaining training, you can contact these individuals.
Neither Supervised Visitation Network nor its committees warrant the expertise, education, or credentials of any consultant.
The SVN assumes no responsibility for the availability, adequacy, or any undertakings of consultants who appear here. This Directory is provided as an informational service only, and urges individuals who contemplate hiring such consultants to conduct their own independent inquiries regarding all aspects of the prospective consulting service.
