The mission of the Michigan Chapter is to facilitate opportunities for children to have safe and conflict-free access through a continuum of child assess services delivered by competent providers.
- To provide forums for networking and sharing of information between supervised child assess providers and other professional involved in providing support to children and parents in Michigan
- Maintain a clearing center that will collect and make available, to service provides and the general public, information and research relevant to safe child access.
- Gather and disseminate training and program materials for child access service providers.
- Develop and disseminate standards for practice of child access services.
- Provide public education regarding the importance of child having safe conflict free contact with both parents and other family members and the role of child access programs in the continuum of services of divorced and separated families and for children in out-of-home placement.
- Educate public and private decision-makers regarding the importance of funding for child access services and provide assistance to local courts and/or service providers in accessing fund to provide affordable services to children and their families.
- Provide any other services and information as may be appropriate.
OUR CHAPTER MEETINGS ARE HELD QUARTERLY. EACH YEAR WE HOST AN ANNUAL, ALL-DAY CONFERENCE ON TOPICS RELEVANT TO SERVICE PROVIDER IN THE FIELD OF CHILD ACCESS.
MEMBERSHIP IS AVAILABLE TO THOSE INSTITUTIONS AND INDIVIDUALS WHO RESIDE IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN AND WHO HAVE A SUPERVISED VISITATION NETWORK MEMBERSHIP IN GOOD STANDING AND WHO ARE PROVIDING SERVICES OR ARE INTERESTED IN THE ISSUES OF SUPERVISED PARENTING TIME SERVICES.
